Your use of our mobile applications, websites (www.skinlycare.io) and related services (hereinafter referred to as the ‘Service’ or ‘Application’) is governed by these Terms of Use (hereinafter referred to as the “Agreement” or ‘Terms of Use’).

1. Definitions

• «Company, «we», «our» — Rodan mobile Kft, owner and operator of the Rodan care skin scanner Service.
• «User,» «you» — any natural or legal person using the Service.
• «Service», «Application» — Rodan care skin scanner mobile applications (iOS/Android), websites www.skinlycare.io and other digital products and tools managed by the Company.

2. General Provisions

1. This Agreement constitutes a legally binding contract between you and the Company. By registering in the Application or using the Service, you confirm your agreement with these terms and conditions.
2. The Company reserves the right to make changes to this Agreement at any time. The updated version will be published on the website and/or in the Application with the date of the last update. In the event of significant changes, the Company will make reasonable efforts to notify Users (by email or other means). By continuing to use the Service after the changes are published, you confirm your agreement to the new terms.
3. In addition to this Agreement, other documents may apply: Privacy Policy, Licence Agreements, user guides, etc. In the event of any conflict, the provisions of this Agreement shall prevail.

3. Use of the Service and restrictions

1. Age restrictions: The service is intended for users over the age of 18. We do not knowingly process the data of persons under the age of 18 without the consent of their parents or guardians.
2. The purpose of the Service: Rodan care skin scanner provides functionality for analyzing skin images using artificial intelligence algorithms. The results obtained are not a medical diagnosis and do not replace a dermatologist’s consultation.
3. Limitation of liability: The Company is not responsible for user decisions made based on the results provided by the Service. In case of any suspected skin diseases, consult a doctor immediately.
4. Legality of use: By using the Service, you confirm that you have all the necessary rights and powers, as well as comply with applicable laws.
5. Prohibition of abuse: The User agrees not to interfere with the operation of the Service, not to decompile or modify its source code, not to use automatic scanners, not to distribute malware, spam, etc. Violations may lead to account blocking and/or prosecution.

Important: The analysis may be less accurate or not recommended in the following cases:

(i) Fitzpatrick skin type V or VI (dark skin tones),

(ii) areas of skin with tattoos, makeup, or artificial modifications,

(iii) damaged, inflamed, or damaged skin (e.g., open wounds, burns).

4. Registration and Account

1. Registration may be required to access all the functions of the Service. The User agrees to provide accurate and up-to-date information (for example, email address, name, age, skin color, etc.).
2. The User is responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of his account data (login / password) and for all actions performed under this account.
3. In case of password loss or unauthorized access, the User must immediately notify the Company by contacting customer support.

5. Paid services and payment

1. Some features of the Service may be provided on a paid basis (subscriptions, separate packages). Information about prices and rates is available in the Rodan care skin scanner app in the Apple Store and Google Play, as well as on the websites www.skinlycare.io.
2. Payment can be made through the Apple Store and Google Play services, as well as through third-party payment systems with which the Company has entered into an agreement. The Company does not store confidential payment data on its servers.
3. Refunds, subscription renewals and other terms and conditions are described in the relevant Subscription Terms and Conditions and comply with Apple Store and Google Play rules. Please read them before purchasing.
4. You can cancel your subscription at any time through the platform on which it was purchased. In case of cancellation, access is retained until the end of the billing period. Refunds are only available in cases specified by the policy of the relevant app store or applicable law.

6. Content Rights

1. User Content: By uploading images and other information to the Service, the User retains all rights to such content but grants the Company a limited licence to use it (e.g., store, display, process) for the purpose of providing the services within the Service.
2. The Company may use anonymised (de-identified) data for research, algorithm improvement and statistical purposes. For details, please refer to our Privacy Policy.
3. Company Intellectual Property: All materials, software, algorithms, and brand elements published on the website and in the Application belong to the Company or its licensors and are protected by copyright and intellectual property laws.

The personal data we collect (including skin images, contact information, device data, and usage statistics) is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

(i) Providing and personalizing the Service,

• The Company is not responsible for any indirect, incidental or punitive damages resulting from the use (or inability to use) the Service, even if it has been notified of the possibility of such damages.
• To the extent permitted by law, the total liability of the Company does not exceed the amount paid by the User for paid services during the last six months.

It is trained on an extensive database of dermatological research, clinical guidelines, and trusted medical literature from sources including:

• ResearchGate
• PubMED

By continuously integrating the latest clinical research, the AI system enhances its ability to identify both common and potentially serious skin conditions.
While the app does not offer a medical diagnosis, it provides risk assessments based on established dermatological standards.

Each image submitted is analyzed through AI-driven pattern recognition, matching visual features against comprehensive medical reference data.
Users receive a preliminary risk assessment along with educational insights, helping them make informed decisions about seeking professional medical advice.

9. Links to Third-Party Sites and Services

10. Modification and Termination of the Service

12. Miscellaneous

1. If any provision of this Agreement is found to be void or without legal force, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions.
2. The Company’s waiver of any provision or term of this Agreement shall not constitute a continuing waiver.
3. You agree not to assign or transfer your rights and obligations under this Agreement to any third party without the prior written consent of the Company.

1. The Rodan care skin scanner Service is not a medical device and does not provide medical diagnostics, treatment, or prescription services. All results obtained are intended solely for informational purposes and should not be considered as professional medical advice.
